Growing up in Indiana, my family and I often vacationed in Colorado.  When I was ten years old, I visited Aspen for the first time.  After that trip, I vowed that I would live in Aspen and be a ski instructor and work in an ice cream shop.  I've taken a slightly different career path, but am grateful everyday for the community I have chosen to be part of since 2001.

 

As a teacher of mathematics, I hope to inspire and foster a love of mathematics in my students.  In addition to the seventh grade content standards, we will also focus on the Standards of Mathematic Practice:  working on problem solving, critical thinking, and perseverance.   I truly believe that every student can be successful in mathematics and look forward to helping students find that success every day.
