Timbah Bell

I fell in love with Colorado while living in Leadville and running the teacher training program at the High Mountain Institute from 2017-19. Before Leadville my classrooms were varied and stunningly beautiful: I have honed my writing and observation skills alongside students while snorkeling in the Caribbean and living on a 130', wooden sailboat; I have discussed the origin stories of the Tohono O'odham while hiking their sacred Baboquivari Peak in Arizona; and I have edited students' creative writing reflections after five days of living alone in the West Virginia woods. I now feel lucky to be settled in the Roaring Fork, reading terrific literature, and learning life lessons with students in English class!
