Bonjour! Je m'appelle Eric Lamb, or as my students sometimes call me, Monsieur Agneau. I have been teaching French at AHS since 2012.
My experience with French began at a young age with impromptu lessons from my mom, who is also a French teacher. Fortunately, these did not completely deter me from French, like you might expect. Much to the contrary! During my junior year of high school, I went to Normandie, France to live with a French host family and go to a French high school for a year. At the University of Colorado at Boulder, I continued to pursue my passion for French, which culminated in a Bachelor's degree in French and Economics in 2010 and a certificate in applied literary translation from the University of Illinois in 2011. I went back to France for the 2010-2011 school year, teaching English at a French high school in Carcassonne, in the South.
In addition to translating books from French to English (4 published translations to date), my extracurriculars include travelling, playing music with my band, The Confluents, trail running, and running rivers.
