    AMS Returning Student Online Registration Information

    Dear AMS Families, 

    Hope you are enjoying your summer, staying healthy and getting outside! 

    It is time to register for the 2021-2022 school year. This year’s registration will be on-line and you will be able to upload all the supporting documents to PowerSchool.

    Please follow the below steps to access your accounts using a web browser and not your phone (NOT the app):

    • Use this link to login: https://powerschool.aspenk12.net/public/
    • If you have forgotten your username or password use the Forgot Username or Password link on the sign in page to retrieve it. If you do not receive a reset email, please contact Karin Wehse by email at kwehse@aspenk12.net
    • Once you are logged in, you will see all your students in the upper left hand corner (each student will have their own tab).
    • Click the Forms link from the left side menu.
    • Then, choose the Enrollment tab at the top.
    • Click on the Student Contacts form to begin.
    • Make sure you fill out the forms for each student.

    Please make sure you update all information during this time.  This is critical to communication with AMS through emails, phone texts and calls.  For returning families at ASD, proof of residency is not required for this year.  Proof of residency is only required for new families moving into the district.  We do ask that if you have moved in the last year, you provide that change in the update if information.  AMS has a red drop box located to the right of the entryway under the windows if you do need to drop off anything.  Once registraton is complete, your child's schedule will be available online beginning on August 23rd.

    STUDENT WITHDRAWAL:  If your student is not returning to AMS school this year, please click here for the AMS Withdrawal Form that will need to be completed and returned to Karin at kwehse@aspenk12.net.  If homeschooling is your chosen method the district must receive a letter notification.  Please send the letter to Eliza Robison erobinson@aspenk12.net and complete the AMS Withdrawal form and return to Karin.

    FEES: Fee's have been assessed for Chromebook / Classroom and 8th grade ODE.  Other grade level ODE fees will be assessed closer to when your student goes on the trip.  We are asking that all outstanding fees be paid before your student starts on August 25th. 

    CHROMEBOOK HANDOUT: Please make sure your child's Chromebook is in working order.  If you are having problems, please email Anita Moose.

    6th GRADE BOOSTER SHOT ALERT: AMS would like to remind you that all incoming 6th grade students are required to have a Tdap BOOSTER (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) vaccine before beginning 6th grade whether online or in person learning.  It is a required registration document for incoming 6th graders.  Please bring an updated copy of your immunization record to the AMS drop box outside of school.  Your child’s doctor’s office can also fax it to the AMS Office at 970-925-9752.

    SUPPLY LISTS: Supply lists will be posted on the AMS website after August 3rd at www.aspenk12.net / Click "Our Schools" at the top and choose Aspen Middle School.  At this time we will once again not be using lockers.  Supplies can be brought to school on the first day of school, August 25th.
